The Grampians Estate vineyard was established in 1989, with the first wines being produced in 1995. The vineyard is located on “Thermopylae”, a sheep farming property producing wool and prime lamb on the eastern foothills of the Grampians National Park in the picturesque Mafeking valley.

Mafeking was the scene of Victoria’s last gold rush in 1900, and was named after the famous siege in South Africa at that time.
